Christmas Time is Over!!!

Back to the office after christmas. A little sad, but at the same time I felt that If I would not have worked for another couple of days, I might have grown up a rustic mind !!! Anything can happen in this world..a rustic iron..no no it can even happen with the mind, if it is not applied for a long duration.

Christmas time in Toronto was a fun. Though I spent most of my time in shopping. It was the time when I shared lot of time with my friends here at Toronto. Believe me this was not boring at all. It was all fun. I still feel that I should be here in Toronto for longer period of time!!

New year's is on the way. Me and my wife is eagerly waiting for the New Year. As per our own myth (this is just a myth, but a great way to do something new), we should eat good food, wear new cloths and do good deeds to other people, which will continue thorough out the year. A new year with full of hopes and lot of new prospects!!

Welcome 2007...Bye Bye 2006 ( It was full of fun...I came to Toronto in 2006, will never forget this year anyway)

Though on this new year, I will miss many of my friends and family members back home in India. At Patna, we used to celebrate new year with passion, as we use to have great dishes on that particular day. To name a few, Puri,Pulao,A good spicey potato & green peas vegetable along with kheer... I cann't pen down more as I am mouth watering while describing those delicious Spicey food.

At Bangalore, on the eve of new year me and my friends from Hubli went around cochin,Kumarkaom and other places to celebrate new year. Though we were looking for beer on the new year eve to have it in Hotel room, we did n't get beer that night. Some of our friends were quite depressed by this. Next day morning, they searched all around the places, got 4-5 beer bottles and had them till noon. This is called Frustration.

After marriage, I have not got enough time to spend my new year at Patna, but the new year with my wife was also memorable. In a way, we used to make 100 calls to each and every friends and family members and wishes them a very happy new year, it was fun and a reason to be in touch with those friends and family members all over again!!

I hope this is the time to get ready and to make some resoultion for myself too.

I have had many bad habits, some of then I want to get rid off.

One of them should be my sarcastic way of expression which makes my family members quite upset sometimes. I would like to get rid off it.

I would like to grow up a little because the time is coming to owe some new responsibilities in the life. I should be ready for it.

My advice to other..please make a resolution for yourself and try to implement the same honestly in the real life, you will amazed to see the changes and it's end result.

God Bless EveryOne....Me too,

Ciao,

Sam

Christmas Time at Toronto

Now the Holiday seasons are on!! The christmas is more like Diwali for Indians especially North Indians and like Ganesh Puja to South Indians. Many places are decorated with mini blulbs and alot of lighting which resembles of Diwali and Ganesh Chaturthi festivals.

Christmas is an exciting festival for local people here because of annual local shopping event provides alot of dirt cheap good deals, exciting times to travel to family members, Celebrate holidays at Skating , winter resorts and celebrate Christmas. It is obvious to me that Christmas here is biggest festival.

For Torontonians, I think it is more fascinating in a way that following Christmas comes Boxing Day, when you can get many good deals at many stores here. Some stores prolong the Boxing Day sale event till new year.

The key to get good deals are to keep on looking for the great deals and flyers on some of these retails stores if you are in this part of world. You can get some really cool deals, you just need to keep your eyes and ear open.

Officially, the Christmas festival at Toronto start from last week of Novemeber, which usually starts from Santa Clause Parade followed by Cavalcade of lights at Nathan Phillip Square at downtown Toronto followed by many similar light shows all across Toronto. The light shows are really amazing. I was amazed to see the lights and decoration at Nathan Phillip Square.

Many parts of Toronto are well decorated on Christmas. Though this year because it is expected to be a green christmas the ethusiams of our young patron here are dampen a little, I am sure once the christmas will come and they will find many Santa's and their Gifts around.

Finally, It is supposed to be a good Christmas. I pray to the god to bring happiness and peace to the whole world. Humanity should get first prefrence over any territory,Caste or religion. I hope we will move towards a better society each new year.

May god bring a lot of happiness and peace to everyone!!!

Wishing you a very Happy New Year 2007 and Happy Christmas.

Will keep posting blogs...

Arrived in Toronto

It's been six odd months in Toronto now. I have learnt so much about this city and I feel that this learning is still going on. So many new things to know. Thank god, work wise I am doing the same stuff which I was doing in India.

1. If you are a vegetarian foodie, you got to search 'your' kind of restaurant with a candle light!!
2. 'Please' and 'Thanks' are the common words to exchange pleasantries.
3. Transportation in this city is pretty good.
4. Overall a multi-cultural city, you get all kind of groceries in this city.
5. More than 10 hindu temples around the city.
6. Like to have Indian Cuisine,Sweets, you can get them right here!!
7. Weather is quite different from our home country, quite windy cold weather during winter season.
8. You got be really smart while driving on Ontario roads.
9. Overall, life can be fun during summer season, enjoy it to the core.
10. Winter season may give some dull moments, but there is a lot in this city to get rid off.
11. Finally, I am still looking for the warmth amongst the people here, which I used to share with some of my friends when I was in Patna. I cherish every moment, I spent at my home city.

More details in the next blog.
ciao,
Sam
